X is for.... cliff hanger? There's a lot going on in this book and mysteries solved, but... the centerpiece - the one thing Kinsey is investigating.... never quite gets resolved. I suspect more to come in "Y," which is just out. (And why I finally finished this book that had been laying around the house. When you carry a small library on your phone & Kindle some books just languish - especially hardbacks that are more to lug around.)
I really liked the arc of Kinsey's opinion of the late private eye, Pete, who she does not regard highly at the outset.... but learns otherwise over the course of the book.
