Year's Best SF 9
David G. Hartwell (Editor), Kathryn Cramer (Editor)

Well - this was familiar. No, not the stories, but the experience - a wide survey of good short SF - something I hadn't done for years... Way (wayyy) back when I used to get the Judith Merril SF: The Years Greatest Science-Fiction and Fantasy (Dell, 1956-1967) annual from one of my brothers for Christmas.

Lots of good writers - some familiar, some less so. Not every story is my favorite, but the virtue of short fiction is, well, it is short - i.e. endurable. This made for a really nice sampling of the SF world. I've already picked up #8, and will probably look for a few more of these.
