Apollo 13, by Jim Lovell, Jeffrey Kluger

Turn the page. From The Fifth Man, to this book seems like a continuum. The fictional adventure is so well modeled after the real one, that it barely seems like fiction. It is hard to read about Apollo 13 without being filled with admiration for the dedication and amazing work that brought those astronauts home.

And I wonder - how did we ever, as a nation, have the commitment to do such a thing - how can we ever do it again?
