Ring of Fire

Eric Flint (Editor)

Book Cover

Oh man - stories vary but all the details are very good! Lots of fun following the Americans and how they bring revolution and social change to Europe in the 1600's! Happily, though I'm traveling... I've got 1634 in hand (well, in pocket, right now) so I continue to follow the machinations of the Americans AND Richeliu et al. Great stuff!

Grantville Gazette Volume I by Eric Flint - Baen Books
This continuation of the "Ring of Fire" / aka 1632 series is, again, terrific! Where else but in SF can you find a story about building sewing machines, or debating fine points of Lutheran theology!

NOTE! - you can get this book free! Click the link above, or check out www.baen.com/library!

Meet Me In St. Louis - by Sally Benson

I've never seen the movie, but I've seen the musical many times, thanks to playing in two different pit orchestras. THIS is the book - a collection of 12 stories, through a whole year in the Smith family's life. The musical, I'm surprised to discover.... makes MORE sense, and has MORE of a plot!
