Attack of the Clones by R.A. Salvatore.

Novelization of the forthcoming movie. I'm pretty hopeful, matching this with the clips I've soon. Lots of action, lots of variety scenes, settings. They are filling in the spaces between the original trilogy (episodes IV-VI) and leading us on to the situation of the Evil empire. Lots of melodrama - should be an exciting film.

The Approaching Storm by Alan Dean Foster.

Okay, I'm getting interested in the new Star Wars movie - this book is a prequel to the movie and it was okay, if predictable (Foster, like Lucas loves clever alien aborigines). Nice to see Foster (Splinter of the Mind's Eye) getting a hand in on the new Star Wars material.

Next up, R.A. Salvatore's novelization of the movie. I like doing this, reading the movie before I see it (I did it with the VERY first, okay fourth, Star Wars movie.) Books are superior to movies, anyway.

And in a Star Wars linguistic vein, keep an eye on my online Galactic Phrasebook, since I've started adding Star Wars phrases. So far mostly Huttese, from TheHutts.org.
