Ms. Marvel, Vol. 5: Super Famous by G. Willow Wilson

And now... she's an Avenger?! That's great - I think there's stuff I'm missing in the Avengers and other comics... but it's good.

Ms Marvel/Kamala has more twists and turns.. her brother's getting married, Bruno has found love without her. Then there's the clone army of Kamala's that Bruno and Kamala accidently create.... Okay - time to request Volume 6 from the library...

Interesting,not what I expected....

...and it's a freaking cliff hanger.....

I enjoyed it; it's interesting how alt history can work in a fictional universe...but it does.

It's the End of the World Ms Marvel!!! Who are you going to call??

Another fun entry - sort of anticlimactic, but interesting... and wait, what? Spiderman? And he's a tech entrepeneur? There's a lot I'm out of the loop on in the comics world.

Capeville: The Death of the Black Vulture by Matt Mikalatos

I am clearly on a super-hero bender... first Ms Marvel. Started watching Jessica Jones... and now this.

Picture a world like "The Incredibles" with super heroes ... made illegal. Add in a ghetto island where they all have to live. Then have John Ajax sent to spend the summer with his grandfather on that island (Capeville). His grandfather who wrote the book (literally) that outlawed superheroes.

Then there's adventure, John taking up the mantle of Black Vulture, not to mention thoughtful reflections on justice, mercy and identity - it's a terrific mix. I'm already looking forward to the next installment, for sure!

And.... more fun! Kamala continues to discover and learn what she is in for as Ms Marvel. And she learns lessons in love (and betrayal).

Super!!

This was terrific (again) and a delight to read. The problems of Ms Marvel, her training and solving the problems caused by the Inventor were a great read. I continue to be impressed and will burn through these as fast as I can lay my hands on them. Between Comixology and my public library, I'm having a great time with these!
